Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Continuing Education Course:
Live Your Dreams - Gregory L. Psaltis, D.D.S.
As a pediatric dentist you generally love your work when you are actually seeing and interacting with the children. However, you do not share the same feelings about several of those bothersome aspects of running a business. This program explores common non-clinical areas that prevent many dentists from obtaining complete joy and satisfaction in their workplace and ultimately in their lives. Specific handouts will direct all attendees toward solutions to four areas of potential frustration. Topics include: conditions of employment, team building, effective communication with parents and managing personal finances. When these parts of private practice are well organized, your office can become a dream unto itself and then lead you to obtaining some of your own personal dreams. A portion of the presentation will also guide the attendees toward identifying their own dreams and how to go about obtaining them.
Dr. Psaltis has been a pediatric dentist for 33 years, the last 27 of which have been in private practice in Olympia, Washington. In addition to enjoying his practice, Dr. Psaltis lectures frequently on pediatric topics, as well as communication skills and practice management. He currently consults with several private practices to improve office systems and Team building. Dr. Psaltis always emphasizes quality of life and personal health issues in his presentations. Additionally, he is now volunteering two weeks each year in Mexico to provide care for children in Cabo San Lucas and Zihuatanejo and also sponsors a couples retreat with his wife, Mary Ellen. His unique speaking style reflects his years of experience and his keen observations, thus making his programs both informative and entertaining.
